Friday Faves

A weekly round-up of all things food, travel, design and life:

Friday Faves

1. Stone fruit – Peaches and nectarines are finally here! They are literally one of my favorite foods that I could never get tired of. Doesn’t this salad look amazing. There is it again, the mix of salty and sweet that I love so much. This might need to be my dinner tonight paired with a large glass of white wine.

2. Tokyo – I have decided that I need to go to Tokyo. I have to go to Tokyo. It looks crazy and beautiful. Just look at those colors – it would be like stepping into a video game. Also, I want to try the crazy food they serve there. Sadly I think Tokyo may have to be a 2014 trip but it is definitely on my list! Anyone want to join me?

3. Gallery Wall – The next update to our apartment is to create a gallery wall in our foyer. I love the way that you can throw a bunch of pictures on the wall close together and it comes together in a unique curated little design. Stay tuned for that ( Full disclosure, I have a lot of updates to our apartment and I just can’t seem to get them done. But when I do, you will be the first to know!)

4. Alt Summit SF – So yesterday I went to my 2nd Alt Summit.  This time I didn’t have to fly across the country to get there – it was right up the road from me at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. It was amazing( I don’t expect anything less from Alt. ) I met some really wonderful bloggers that I am excited to stay friends with. The after party was at the Pinterest Headquarters. The theme was “Alice in Wonderland” and Pinterest went all out. Here is a picture of me and the Mad Hatter at the party. To be honest, he was a little creepy and got a little too close for comfort – but it was a fun party. Check out the pictures and inspiration for the party here.

Have a great weekend!
